Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
During these uncertain times, we are working hard to minimise disruption to our customers as much as possible, while at the same time taking sensible precautions to protect people’s health. We continue to assess the situation daily and have closely aligned ourselves with the latest government advice and guidance.
Following the recent announcement made by the government, we would like to update you on what we are currently doing in line with official guidance and as part of the community.
- We will remain open for business until we are told to do otherwise. There may however be a reduction in the hours that we are open. Please see our website/Facebook pages for any revised opening hours.
- We are extra vigilant in cleaning every day. This includes the cleaning frequently throughout the day of all human touchpoints such as door handles, menus, remote controls, card machines and tills. We’re ensuring staff are following guidelines and are monitoring the health and wellbeing of staff.
- We’re want to do whatever we can to look after the village so we will, over the next few days, be implementing a takeaway/delivery menu where many of our restaurant menu items will be available to for collection or delivery. We hope this service will ease some of the strain that people may currently be experiencing if they are self-isolating or experiencing issues in obtaining their usual supplies.
It is an uncertain time for businesses and there is no doubt that the lack of trade that all hospitality venues are currently experiencing is worrying. The current situation means that the future of places like the Marquis is not currently clear but our priorities are to ensure we are operating safely and still being of benefit to the local community wherever we can. We’d like to emphasise how grateful we are to those customers still supporting us and we hope to see an end to these uncertain times and everyone back in the bar very soon
